President Xi Jinping said that children are the future of the country and the hope of Chinese people when he visited a primary school in Haidian district in Beijing on May 30, 2014, ahead of the International Children's Day.
Xi attended school activities and met with students, their parents and teachers. He called for fostering socialist values among children.
