More than 2,000 internships offered by institutions located in Shanghai's Lujiazui Financial City are currently available to university students.

The institutions involved in the event cover a variety of financial sectors such as banking, securities, financing, and insurance. They include the Bank of Communications, Far East Horizon, Huajin Securities, the Agricultural Bank of China, Taiping Asset Management Co, Ping An Insurance Group, and HuaAn Funds.

The event is a joint effort of the Lujiazui Financial City Development Bureau . It serves as a bridge between university students and enterprises with recruitment needs and offers students opportunities to work in the city's financial center.

The internships will run from June 30 to Aug 31, during which time students will have the opportunity to gain quality work experience and improve their financial understanding and practical abilities.

According to Lujiazui officials, the program is a move to strengthen university-enterprise cooperation and to help local financial institutions select and reserve top graduates.
