?One of the last of her generation, Li Fengyun, a former comfort woman was born in a peasant family in Pyongyang in 1922. At the age of 19, she was forced into sex slavery for the Japanese military in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, during its colonial rule in Asian countries. The Japanese surrendered in World War II in 1945, bringing her adversity to the end. In 1987, she was settled in a nursing home in Dongning county of Heilongjiang province.
